Belated Birthday Shout-outs

We had 3 birthdays in the family in December and I forgot to mention all of them (it was a busy month). So, here's to my dad *10th* Jonathan's dad *15th* and my mom *25th.* Sorry it's so late! We love and appreciate all of you and are so thankful you are our parents. We hope you felt loved and celebrated on your special days. Cheers!

Christmas and New Years

Grandma and Grammy

Camden was lucky enough to have two of his favorite people visit the beginning of December...Grandma and Grammy.  Jonathan's mom (Grandma) came out the 1-5.  She hadn't seen the little guy since he was born and she just couldn't wait any longer!  He was about 5 pounds heavier and 4 1/2 inches taller than the last time she was here.  Jonathan left on the 6th to CA for work so my mom headed down on the 7th.  She stayed until the 11th to watch Camden while I was at work.  Grammy definitely enjoyed her one-on-one time with her grandson.  They talked, played, read books, looked outside (too cold to actually step out the door), and much more!  Thanks for the visit you two!  See you soon!

Here are a few pics I took the other day.  I've been getting a little crazy with the cameras (video and regular) since I've been back at work.  I feel the need to capture every little moment because it seems like he's growing even faster now!

Can you please look at that forecast?!!  Holy moly...a high of 9 degrees?  NINE!  Are you kidding me?  I grew up in Southern CA where there aren't seasons.  I like the seasons.  The snow puts me in the Christmas spirit a bit more, but single digits are not okay!  I can't wait until Friday when I'm sweating because it's supposed to be in the upper 30s---geesh!

2 months old

As of December 3, Camden is officially 2 months old!  He continues to be the best baby!  We are amazed that we love him more each day... I think our hearts might burst!  Our little guy is smiling, cooing, and "talking" up a storm.  We are not so good at getting the smile on camera (see pics below), but we will keep trying.  The real deal is pretty darn cute!  It is so fun to see him grow!    

Week 2

Hi everyone!  Thank you so much for your blog comments, emails, texts, calls, and prayers about my transition back to work...it meant a lot.  I made it through, tears and all!  My students and colleagues were happy to see me, but I couldn't say the same about them!  No, it was good to see everyone, but (obviously) I'd rather be hanging out with my little guy.  I am now into week 2 and hanging in there.  It's still hard, but it's nice knowing Christmas break is around the corner.  I just wanted to give you a little update since many were asking (thanks again).  A post with pictures of our 2 month old (crazy) will be coming soon...hopefully! :)  Love to you all!
