Special Delivery

Our stroller was delivered yesterday!  We really wanted to unpack it and push it around the neighborhood, but decided (a) we wouldn't be able to get it back in the box as neatly as it came and (b) that might be a little weird...pushing an empty stroller.  So, we opted to admire the box and take a picture!  Eric and Mom Carol, thank you SO much for the generous gift.  We are looking forward to using it.

24 weeks

As of Saturday, the 12th, I am 24 weeks along.  I feel like my belly gets bigger every day. Fortunately, I am still feeling fantastic!  Our little guy is very active!  He's kicking, punching, and doing a jig in there.  I love feeling him move around.  I had my first appointment with my new doctor (we changed insurance companies) and I love her! Everything is progressing as planned and we are so thankful.

Gramps and a ranch

My grandpa was visiting my parents, so Jonathan and I met the three of them in Cheyenne for a day o' fun!  We went to Terry Bison Ranch (yes, it was as lovely as it sounds).  The website was a bit deceiving, making it appear as though there were endless activities to enjoy. There was a restaurant and a rickety old train. Nonetheless, it was fantastic seeing them.

Happy Birthday, America!

We were so wrapped up in our San Diego/Maui trip, we kind of forgot to make plans for the 4th. Thankfully, Nate and Lisa were on it!  We went to an art festival then saw a riveting fireworks display.  Baby Bentley was kicking away while the light show boomed above us.  JB had fun trying out the "fireworks" setting on our new camera.

The Ultimate Baby Moon!

Jonathan and I were so blessed to be able to get away for almost 2 weeks!  We had a fabulous time with family and friends.  Our trip began in good ol' San Diego to visit friends and attend a wedding. Dave and Kim, thank you for letting us stay with you!  Matt and Whit, thank you for the numerous airport runs!  We miss So. Cal and it was great to get back to the ocean, palm trees, and fantastic peeps that live there.  After a few of days in SD, we headed to Maui.  We were greeted with warm weather, incredible accommodations, and family (Jonathan's side) to make our island get away complete.  Mom and Eric, what a trip!  Thank you for your unbelievable generosity.  The week in Maui flew by and we were on our way back to SD before we knew it! We spent about another day and a half there in the "72 and sunny" weather we love!

Whit and I pose for a pic just in time.  Seconds after this shot, the fountain was bombarded by high schoolers.
Balboa Park in SD.  One of our favorite places to walk around.  Matt and Whit took us there to hang out for a bit and soak in the sights we took for granted for so long.
The girls at Sammy's...one of my requests for places to eat because I love their mac and cheese!  I love you all and miss you already!  Thanks for coming out.
Dust, Dave, JB, and Kyle
Ahhh, the Pacific, what a beauty!  We went to a wedding at our alma mater, Point Loma.  After the ceremony, we drove around the campus and reminisced about our college years.  Here is the view from our freshman dorm--how fortunate!  The surfer in him really misses the ocean.  I'm not a surfer, but I am a CA girl, so I miss this scene too.
What a view!  I spent many hours on that lovely track.  Great memories!
Whit, Nim, little Bel, and Georgia.
Welcome to beautiful Maui!
The fam...Jonathan, me, Ryan, Eric, Sara, and Jeremy (Jonathan's mom is taking the pic).  We had a fantastic time and are looking forward to many more family trips.
Here we are on a helicopter ride, one of the many highlights of our trip.  The views of the islands were unbelievable!  Our pilot, Al, has been flying for 50 years so he knew a thing or two about the history of Hawaii. ;)
Nim, Deed, Whit, and me at In-n-Out.  We had to hit it up twice (once before Hawaii and once after).  The SD crew was very nice about taking us there.  Thanks guys!  I'm already missing that grilled cheese...delicious!

It's a BOY!

Jonathan and I had a feeling we would be passing on the Bentley name, but it was confirmed at our big appointment on June 18th.  It's so exciting to be able to refer to the little one as "he" rather than "the baby."  The doctor was amazing!  He said everything looked "normal" or "great"--those two words have never sounded better!
