Tuckered out

At the beginning of this month our little guy was not feeling well. Between coughing throughout the day and night (disrupting his sleep) and a little stomach bug that caused him to lose his appetite, he was out of steam. He tried so hard to be in a good mood and wanted to play, but didn't have much energy to do so. Camden loves this candy dish (mainly because it has a lid), so he was going to do his best to have fun with it!

So tired, but trying to pull the lid off

Got it! You can tell by his face that he is out of it. Poor thing!

Break time!

A little smile :)

It's way too much work to sit up to get that lid, so I'll just lay here.

Socks & Tea

We're heading back to December (as you can tell by Camden's PJs and the towel) when Camden was, once again, playing in the kitchen. He has this thing about items on the stovetop...if we are using it, he wants it. So, after I finished making some tea (and the pot cooled off, of course) I handed the kettle over to the little man.

Hmmm...how do I get this lid off?

Got it! Now it's time to put the sock inside.

Then I'll take the sock out (I love to put things in and take them out...repeatedly)

Daddy, check it out! This sock was in the teapot!

Do you want a closer look, Daddy? I'll bring it to you.

We can't forget the lid!

The Neb

Camden has been using a nebulizer since the beginning of this month. Our pediatrician decided to give this a whirl after finding out (through an upper GI) he is not suffering from reflux. So, this was an attempt to cure that cough of his--the one he's had since August. We are VERY happy to report it's working! We started the neb the day before we (Jonathan and me) left for Tucson, then my mom took over. She did a great job of setting up a little routine for Camden so he wouldn't be scared of the mask. He actually gets excited when we tell him, "It's time for your medicine" now. Thanks Grammy!

We read books while he's doing his "treatment" because it has to be on there for 15 minutes

Camden looks at pictures of animals while Mommy and Daddy make the sounds and tell him the names

It looks really sad, but we are so thankful he is relaxed...it makes it much easier!

DKB

The newest Bentley boy made his appearance at 3:41 this morning! We are so excited for Jonathan's brother, Jeremy, and his wife, Sara. Dylan Karl Bentley weighed in at 6 lbs. 4 oz. and is 20 inches long. Camden is so excited to meet his cousin and his auntie and uncle can't wait either! We will be making a trip to Nashville in March to meet the little guy. Congratulations Jer and Sar! Welcome to the world of parenthood...it's amazing!

Snack 'n Ride

We bought Camden a Winnie the Pooh ride-on train for Christmas and he digs it! One day Jonathan was pushing him on it, but it wasn't enough just to ride, he needed a snack too! So, here he is riding without hands so he can gobble up some Cheerios.

Looking at a pot on the floor as he rides by on his train...while eating, of course!

The hand is making its way to his mouth

Making sure Mommy is watching

Ummm...we have a problem...my bowl is empty!

15 months!

On January 3rd our baby boy (yes, he is still a baby to me) hit the 15 month mark! Time continues to fly! He is taking a few steps on his own, but still favors crawling...I didn't start walking until I was 15 months. I feel like he's a late walker, but our doc said they aren't concerned until they hit 18 months. He'll do it when he's ready! Camden's personality continues to grow and we are loving it! He makes funny faces, pretends to crack up, and squeals with excitement. Bath time is still a favorite along with reading books with Mommy and Daddy. He has a thing for animals, but is not a fan when they get near him. Annie's White Cheddar organic pasta is on the hit list right now and an open-faced turkey sandwich is our "go to meal." It is not uncommon for him to down a whole banana during dinner time (along with the pasta and some veggies). He thinks it's really funny when he throws his soap/shampoo into the bathtub while the water is running. Camden loves to look at one of his animal books during an entire car ride, but the second we park, he throws it and claps and screams (happy ones) knowing it's time to get out. He is in the middle of his first ear infection. We thought we were dealing with some behavioral "issues," but it turns out all he needed was some amoxicillin to help him get back to his happy self. Camden continues to love music, golf balls, and looking out the window. He is in an organizing stage...he will sit for quite some time taking things out and putting them back in (Jonathan and I fear that my anal tendencies have mixed with his to create one really anal kid). :) He is not the biggest boy--weighed in at 22 pounds 2 ounces this month. He actually lost weight since last month due to a stomach virus and that crazy cough. Speaking of the cough, he has been doing the nebulizer since the beginning of this month and we are seeing the results now! We have had 3 cough-free nights! That's a big deal considering it has been going on since August! We are so thankful! I could go on and on about our little guy (obviously), but I'll let you get to the pics.

A boy and his spoon

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We didn't have our camera for a bit and then I just got lazy. I apologize. Here are a few pics of our little man and his spoon. He is becoming more and more independent. During mealtime he feels the need to have his own spoon. On this particular day, Camden thought it was really funny to squeeze the spoon in between his lips so he didn't have to use his hands. He continues to make us laugh daily. We just love him!

Concentrating so hard to keep it in there

Debating whether or not he should use his hand

"Daddy, check this out!"

That was so fun!

October 3rd boys

Most of you know that Camden shares his birthday with the Medor twins, Colin and Carson. So, here are some recent pics of the Oct. 3rd boys at our small group Christmas party. Colin and Carson are so cute! They are both walking which keeps their Mommy and Daddy busy! You'll notice Colin's long locks. His brother loves to pull his hair! Obviously he doesn't realize it hurts, so he just stands there yanking on a handful with a big smile on his face. He tried it out on Camden too!
