Undies!

Camden wears undies! He is completely potty trained! What a stud! We are so proud of him! We used the "3 day method" and it was awesome! We stayed home for 3 days straight (I was going crazy) and focused on Camden and the toilet. He did an incredible job! He had one accident the morning of the first day and that was it (except for at night). Then, a week later, he was dry at night too! This method is hard-core...no diapers/pull-ups at all! We took his last diaper off and didn't look back!

Good morning! He has no idea what is about to happen.

One last look at the diaper

Here we go!

Undies! He was so excited to have them on! He was running around the house, lifting up his shirt yelling, "UNDIES!"

So proud...showing his little bro

Mischief!

So happy

Love this little one

A little blurry, but still a funny pic

What up?

Everything goes in his mouth! Hats...

...burp cloths

Enough with the cute faces...time to get into some stuff!

Success!

We never "baby-proofed" with Camden, but I think we'll have to with this guy!

Yep, he's putting the tub in his mouth!

Told you he's feisty!

July 23-6 months

"The one thing you can bet your paycheck on is the firstborn and second-born in any given family are going to be different." -Dr. Kevin Leman, psychologist

I think we are already seeing evidence of this in our two boys. Camden was an easy baby, very content and very happy. Parker is an easy baby, very content and very happy, but he is feisty! His little personality is really starting to shine through and I love it! Parker is a grabber! He tries to grab everything...toys, faces, plates, blankets, sunglasses, etc. You name it, he's reaching for it! While feeding him, Parker is trying to pull off his bib, bats at the spoon, attempts to eat the high chair tray, does raspberries while food is in mouth. Feisty, I tell ya! He is also a mover! We could lay Camden down (even after he could roll) and he would just hang out. Parker is all over the place. The other day I put him down in the middle of the floor and ran upstairs. Jonathan went to check on him and he was against the wall under his swing. We used to put Camden on his changing table and walk all around the room, even out of the room (I know, dangerous). Jonathan's mom was visiting and I clearly remember her saying, "Be careful! He can roll right off of there!" He didn't and never tried. Her words definitely apply to Parker, I turn around for half a second to throw Parker's clothes in the hamper and he's practically off the table. Parker is working on sitting up (at the tripod/fold in half stage), he is obsessed with tags, loves books (and tries to eat them), is fascinated with fans and shadows, sleeps on his belly and will drop any toy to play with a ball. He squeals and kicks when he's excited and is getting more into his activity center every day. He absolutely loves watching Camden do anything--dance, play the guitar, run around--and does big belly laughs when his big bro plays peek-a-boo with him. He is one ounce away from 20 pounds (90th percentile) and is 29 1/4 inches long (way off the charts). Parker's first tooth popped through on July 27th and he's working on another one right now. I cannot believe 6 months has gone by since this sweet boy joined our family. He is the perfect fit! We are so thankful God entrusted us with this little one.

At the doctor

Ever since getting his tooth he will suck in his bottom lip like this

Grabbing the sign

Cute!

A few shots with clothes this month :)

There goes that lip again

A serious moment

Serious about chewing on the bath toy

In Camden's World

Our boy has quite the imagination and he often thinks he is not imagining so he gets really set on going somewhere or doing something (that often does not exist)!

In Camden's world he has a "Christmas house." He has two dogs named Molly and Jasper/"Jaffer" (these are the names of Grandpa and Memaw's dogs), a sheep, and a frog "that lives in the water." He teaches his dogs tricks and if you're walking around the backyard you have to "watch out for poo-poo." Conversations about his Christmas house sound like this...
C: I want to ride my skateboard.
M: Oh that sounds fun, buddy, but you don't have a skateboard.
C: Yeah, it's at my Christmas house. Want to go there with me, Mommy?! Let's go to my Christmas house! C'mon Mommy, let's go!
M: Where is it?
C: I know where it is...I show you.
M: Well, I would love to go to your Christmas house, but we need to go to swim lessons.
C: Nooooooo! I want to go to my Christmas house! Right now, Mommy!
...and it continues. He gets really upset and insists on going to his house. He tells me how fun it is there--lots of balls, toys, etc.

In Camden's world he plays A LOT of sports. Every day he asks to go to his soccer game, football game, tennis game, etc. He will be riding his bike or scooter and I will tell him to turn around to go back home. His response, "No, Mommy, my basketball game is over here. Gotta go this way."

In Camden's world this is how you say things...
pee-no = piano
gor-ah-ah = gorilla
stay-chum = stadium
pee-ba = pizza
alligator = elevator
ka-prise = surprise

In Camden's world it is never time to go night-night and it is always time to play! When we are out and about (running errands, at My Gym, with friends, etc.) we need to stay that way! The kid does not want to go home...ever.

I love this boy with all my heart and I'm so glad I'm living in his world!
