Ticker
Look how close that baby ticker (to the right) is to the one year mark! I can't believe his big birthday is less than a week away! Seriously, where does the time go? We have been busy planning for two bashes...one with the twins (Carson and Colin) who were born the same day as him and one just for Cam. We'll be celebrating two weekends in a row! All three sets of parents will be here for the Oct. 3 party and we are thrilled to have them see our baby on his actual birthday. The 10th will be a smaller fiesta at our house--the first one is at a park. I am going to have a one-year-old! Now I know why my mom says to me (every single birthday), "I can't believe I have a ___ year-old...it doesn't seem possible." I think those words will be ringing in Camden's ears too! :)

You've GOT to be kidding me!
Do you ever have a moment in your busy day that you look around and think, "You've GOT to be kidding me?!?" . I'm sure you do. So, play along in my blog carnival. We will be posting our 'moments' every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month! It'll be fun...come on!
That is from Laci's blog...she has the best stories in her adventures of being a Mommy of 3 toddlers! I have never participated, but here it goes...
So, changing Camden's diaper has turned into a wrestling match! All of a sudden he's not into laying there staring at the ceiling while I change him. He would much rather roll over, sit up, and look out the window from his changing table. I've tried giving him things to play with, singing, blowing on his belly, doing a little jig...you name it...he's not having it! Normally I opt for a toy or a book, but lately he's into things that are not toys, so the other day I gave him the diaper rash cream to hold onto to keep him occupied. It works for half a second, then he drops it down the crack between the wall and the table. Note to self: don't give him something you plan on using during the changing process. Great, now the booty cream is gone and he's rolling over. I've managed to get his pants and diaper off when he starts to get wild. A new approach...I pick him up, let him look outside for 2 seconds, talk to him, and try to calm him down. He pees ALL over me! Not just a tinkle. This kid is almost one. It was a bucket of pee. My shirt is soaked and dripping onto the carpet and my foot. Pee has also sprayed onto the changing table which is now dripping as well. I'm soaked, he's half naked, the diaper rash cream is behind the table...you've GOT to be kidding me!

Estes Park
Yesterday, the 3 of us went to Estes Park (a little mountainy town just north of Boulder). It was construction central on the way up, but once we got there, we had a great time! It's a fun place to just walk around, look in the random shops with all the trinkets and shirts that say "Estes Park" somewhere on them, and enjoy the great outdoors! It's a bit of a drive, so it's not a place we frequent. In fact, we hadn't been there since last September! Take a look...
September of '08. This pic was taken on a Sunday...little did we know, Camden would be joining us on Friday of that week!
September of '09. Daddy and a very serious Camden!
He already looks annoyed with Mommy's tight squeeze! It's too early for that, buddy!
Checking out the river. Camden thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen! He was pointing, waving, and talking up a storm!
He wanted to jump in!
My how things have changed...for the better of course!

Grandpa, Uncle Jason, Gramps, and Grammy
We were fortunate to have lots of visitors last week. Jonathan's Dad and step-bro, Jason, took a road trip and made CO one of their stops. Jason met Camden for the first time and the little man loved his uncle! They also brought a gift for Cam...Grandpa refurbished a school desk for his grandson. It is awesome! We went to Red Rocks (of course), downtown, and the boys hit up Black Hawk (a casino and old mining town). Grandpa and Uncle Jason headed out on Tuesday, then Gramps and Grammy came on Thursday. We take everyone to Red Rocks, but they hadn't been (oops, sorry guys) so we hit that up again. Gramps hadn't seen Camden on the move yet so he was loving watching the little guy crawl around. Fun was had by all! Thanks for coming everyone! See you soon!

11 months!
I cannot believe our baby is 11-months-old! I feel like I was just writing a post about him being one month and now we are one month away from him being one! Are you with me? He is definitely making the transition from baby to toddler. He is changing daily right before our eyes. He makes us smile constantly. He is our joy.
What he's up to...
- He is a crawling machine! He started late, so I think he's making up for lost time!
- Loves to pull himself up on anything and everything
- Is passionate about Tupperware
- Waves...all the time...for no reason :)
- Pretty sure he has 3 teeth. He's not really into letting me feel his gums
- Dancing
- Standing up at his table and playing
- Talking...he babbles "dada" and "mama" but we aren't sure if he knows what he's saying
- Reading books
- Chewing on his crib when he's supposed to be napping
- Loves being outside--he gets really excited when we open the door
- He's just starting to "cruise"
- Clapping
- Loves to take things (clothes, magazines, bowls) out/off of things (baskets, tables, cupboards)
Props are a must to get him to sit still in the chair
Check out my raccoon!
Bath time! Still a fave!
Loves his bath toys!
All clean!
Smiling at Grammy
Helping Mommy with the laundry
"Mommy, I'm busy! This is no time for pictures!"
Standing at his activity table
One form of his wave
Clapping
Our happy boy!
Anniversary shoes
A few years ago (I think it was for our 2nd anniversary), Jonathan and I were trying to think of an anniversary gift we could get each other every year. We came up with something...shoes! I love shoes and Jonathan, well, he likes them (I think more and more as time goes on--I'm influencing him). Here's a shot of our 5 year anniversary shoes courtesy of Anjuli.
