Hungry Baby

When he's hungry, he'll suck on anything!  Dad tries to give Camden some lovin' and he gets his nose sucked on instead!  It's pretty funny!

Out for a stroll

Camden couldn't go out in public for at least two weeks...doctor's orders!  However, he was allowed to cruise the neighborhood in his stroller.  I am not a homebody (and I was definitely getting a little cabin fever) so we took the little man for a ride last week.  It had been a bit chilly so we held out and waited for this beautiful day.  He slept through the whole thing, but it was fun for mom and dad to push the stroller around.

Bath time trouble

Someday he will LOVE bath time, but as for now, it's not fun!  Poor little guy starts screaming the second we put him in the tub.  It's pretty sad.  Just to show us how much he doesn't like it, he poops in his towel afterwards!  Before we know it, he'll be sitting in the tub on his own playing with his squirt toys...dad can't wait for that moment...he's (dad) been ready to bust those out ever since he scanned them onto the baby registry. ;)

I'm 1 week old today!

Shocking, isn't it?  I've already been out of mommy's tummy for a week now!  I am lovin' life and mommy and daddy are lovin' me!  Here are some things I'm really good at...
-Peeing while daddy is changing my diaper
-Sleeping...during the day, while eating, and during the night (my parents love the last one)
-Holding on to mom and dad's fingers
-Watching the giraffes that hang above me in my Pack 'n Play
-Holding my head up while someone is holding me and during "tummy time"---mommy and daddy keep talking about how strong I am!
-Making faces
-Smiling and showing off my dimples
I'm sure there's more, but I don't want to brag.  I am doing great! Daddy and mommy are obsessed with me...life is good!

Camden's here!

Our little man made his appearance just over 4 weeks early!  I went to a doctor's appointment and ended up spending the night in the hospital "under observation."  She (the doc) was 99% sure I would be discharged in the morning and on my way, but wanted to play it safe. The next day we got the news that we'd be having the baby within the next 2 days.  Seriously?  We were caught off guard to say the least. We just moved into our house a couple weeks ago, baby clothes hadn't been washed, a washer and dryer still needed to be purchased, our birth plan was in the works...the list goes on.  To put it lightly, we were feeling a bit anxious and unprepared! After all of that went through our head, it progressed to the baby.  Will he be okay?  Is the NICU a possibility?  How much will he weigh?

In short, he is perfect!  My parents and Mama Carol made it out here in time for the birth and Camden is fabulous!  I cannot imagine loving anyone more!  I could just sit and stare at him all day.  He was a healthy 6 pounds 10 ounces, 19 inches long.  He arrived on October 3 at 7:24 am. Jonathan is already an amazing dad--it is awesome watching him with our baby boy.  Okay, time to go check on the babe.

32 weeks

Thanks for your patience!  Sorry it took so long to get this bad boy on here.  I was 32 weeks along and feeling fabulous!  A little back pain, but that's to be expected with a big load in the front!  It's crazy to think that this is my last "monthly" picture since I didn't make it to 36 weeks.

Mini update

Hi everyone!  I promise I will update soon...life needs to slow down a bit then I will get around to it.  This is just to hold you over until I actually do a real post (with pics).  Here's a tidbit of info. for you in bullet format:
  • The 32 week picture is on its way.  It has been on our camera for almost 2 weeks now.  We have about 6 weeks to go!
  • School is in full swing.  I am working half days and loving it!  It's so nice to walk out the door before 1:00.
  • Jonathan is diggin' his new job.  He was in Texas last week and will be in Chicago next week.  He's a traveling man!
  • We closed on a house TODAY!  Yay!  After looking for about 5 months, we are so thankful it has actually happened.  It is a bit surreal.  We are super excited to bring our son to a HOME from the hospital.  God continues to amaze me.
  • I have a baby shower here in CO next weekend---good times!
  • The Amazing Race begins next weekend too.  Love it!
Okay, you got more than a mini update.  I suppose I can do this more often.  For some reason I feel the need to have pics to include with a post, but I guess you faithful readers just want something new to read! :)  Thanks for checking in.  Photos are on the way.
