Halfway

I cannot believe I am 20 weeks along.  Thankfully I am doing great! There are times where I think I can literally feel my skin and muscles stretching.  The little one is definitely moving around in there.  I felt the first kick on June 1st and Jonathan felt it on the 3rd.  I think baby might have been moving around before that, but I wasn't sure what it was. Now, I recognize the signs of life inside me.  It is an unbelievable feeling and truly miraculous!

Barn Party

Stephanie's aunt and uncle have a fantastic piece of property, so she decided to invite some peeps over for dinner and S'mores.  We had a great time!  Thanks Steph!

Grandma Matthews hookin' it up

My mom just left yesterday after visiting for a few days.  It was so fun talking about baby stuff and getting belly rubs from her! She was amazed by the bump that is now visibly protruding regardless of what I wear.  Mom was absolutely incredible!  Her excitement is infectious and her generosity is beyond measure. She hooked baby and me up!  I got some much needed mom clothes and baby now has some diapers, wipes, rattles, blankets, stacking rings, and much more!  Thanks for everything, mom!

Busy day

June 7th was a day for parties.  We went to a BBQ in the afternoon for our friend Liz who graduated with her MBA.  Then, we headed to Angie's for a going away party (I work with her and she is moving to a different school next year).  We were supposed to go to another graduation party for our buddy Matt, but we were a bit tired and didn't make it over there. Here are some pics...

BBQ for Liz
Lacy and I were playing Corn Hole (a fabulous midwest game), but we took a little timeout to snap a photo.  It was a little chillier than I thought it was going to be so I had to borrow a sweatshirt from Angie and a scarf from Lacy...great combo! :)
Jonathan and Dave are waiting for their turn...it was an intense game.

Last class

We have been in a married couples class for about 2 years now. It has been a great way for us to get plugged into a church and meet some incredible people.  We break for the summer, so we had a little picnic to finish off the year.  The class has provided us with some helpful insight about ourselves and our marriage (things we probably wouldn't even think/talk about on our own).  It has been an integral part of our lives and our faith.  We look forward to starting up again in September.

My Little Man

The Jackster is 2!  I can't believe it.  This is the little chubby baby I started loving on at 3 months old.  We had a great time at his safari birthday party. He is quite the kid!  **Just to clarify, I was Jack's nanny when we first moved to Colorado. He's not actually MY little man. Some readers didn't know I was a nanny, so I wanted to make sure we were all on the same page. :)

Taking you back...

March 3rd: Jonathan is a little shocked to find out he's not only turning 27, but he's going to be a daddy too!  Happy birthday!
March 3rd: Posing with the first 2 (I took a total of 4) positive tests.  Watch out baby...your mama is crazy!
April 19th: Mom Matthews was a little slow to figure out what the pacifier in the Easter egg meant, but once she got, she was ecstatic!  Dad Matthews couldn't make the trip, so we had to wait to tell him at a later time. :(
March 27th: "Are you trying to tell me something?  Are you pregnant?"  Jonathan's mom caught on right away when she opened her Easter egg.
April 6th: Breaking the news to Dad Matthews with an "I Love Grandpa" bib in Fort Collins, CO.
12 weeks along.  A little nausea here and there, but overall, the first trimester was great!
Nate and Lisa took us to The Macaroni Grill to celebrate.  Thanks for the delicious dinner you two!
16 weeks and feeling good!  The baby bump is making its appearance!
