Easter 2012

I love Easter!  I love the reason we celebrate...Jesus is alive!  He gave us everything, His life, then rose again!  Amazing!  We had a good day.  It was our little family of four, which is always great, but it makes me miss those we love.  I was really missing our family, but I was also missing our friends.  I was specifically thinking about Nate and Lisa (and now sweet Andrey) because we always went to Lisa's parent's house for Easter in Colorado...never a dull moment there!  All sadness aside, we had a great day with our boys!

 Excited to dye eggs

Check out his neck...he's working really hard to give me a normal smile (and it still didn't quite work)

 Sweet little fingers

 Brothers!

 My sweet boys

 Cute!

Love them!

Parker was determined to get everything out of his basket!  Camden just carries on with a hand in his face.

Camden's excited about his candy-filled egg, Parker is apparently disgusted that we would even think to give him sidewalk chalk! :)

 Watching big bro

This doesn't really look like Camden to me, but it was the best I could get.  My photography skills were not top notch...you'll notice I did not get a single family shot and I didn't make it in one pic either.  Fail.

Again, this was as good as I could get!  I'll do better next year!

Egg Hunt

The day before Easter was the big egg hunt!  Our friends have an amazing house with a backyard the size of a park, so we headed over there to search and play with about 50 other kids...so fun!

 It was a beautiful day!

 Found one!

 Checking out his eggs

Picking up one while looking for another!

 Their incredible yard

This guy isn't walking on his own yet, so here he is watching the big kids with Mommy

Time to eat some grass (the boy puts everything in his mouth)

 Sunshine!

 Scooter time

He doesn't have a scoot with two wheels, but I think he's ready for one!

Flashback Friday (Easter)

Easter 2011

Easter 2012

Sports Camp

On March 26th, Camden went to his first day of Sports Camp at the local community center.  It includes 3 sports (soccer, T-ball, and basketball) for 3 weeks each.  My big guy was really excited to play!  It's pretty chaotic (picture two college-age guys trying to teach about twelve 3-5 year olds), but he has fun!  I don't know if he's going to learn much about each sport, but hopefully he learns how to listen to a coach, teamwork, and trying his best!

 Ready to go!

I still get this face when I say, "smile!"

 Stretching!

Getting a few kicks in before they start their "drills"

 This went in the goal!

Lining up to get a drink

My little soccer star!

The Train Museum

We went to The Train Museum when my Mom was visiting and it was pretty much a bust.  Apparently I missed some info on the site and didn't realize the trains start running on April 1st (it was March 26th)...bummer!  We made the most of it by looking in train cars and climbing on/in the ones we were allowed. Parker hung out in his stroller most of the time (such a content little guy) while Camden explored.  It's not what I was hoping for, but we made some memories and that's what matters!

 Exploring

 Love him!

 Camden the conductor!

My favorite 3.5 year old!

Actions shots

A few action shots of Camden playing baseball with some of the neighborhood kids.  We'll be going to his games before we know it!

March visit #3...Grammy

I wasn't kidding when I said we had a lot of family visitors in March. Grandpa and Memaw left on a Monday, Jonathan left on Tuesday morning to travel for work, and Grammy landed Tuesday night! The hubs had two weeks in a row of Tuesday-Friday travel, so my Mom came to the rescue! It was so great having her here! I literally feel like I'm on vacation when she's around...trips to Target, the grocery store, the chiropractor, Starbucks, etc. all by myself! She's the best! Gramps, we missed you! Thank you for letting me "borrow" Mom for a couple weeks! Excited to see you this Summer! Thanks for coming, Grammy! We love you!

Shadowy, but still a cute face!

Park time!

The train museum
(I couldn't get both of them to look)

Camden found this box in the train car and acted like he was unloading his cargo. Hilarious!

He looks so big!

My handsome boy at the zoo

Watching the penguins

A famous candy shop we went to for the first time. Yum!

Dying eggs with Grammy

I had to include a few of these shots. Love how Parker is leaning in to Camden in this one!

Camden looks cute in this one!

Parker looks cute in this one (so do you, Mom!)
